Remembering-Memorial Day 2014

When I saw today's CAS Challenge at splitcoaststampers was May Flowers, I immediately thought of poppies in honor of Memorial Day. I decided to try out some paper tole technique with my diecut poppies by cutting some "petals" and layering them over my whole flowers. I used Distress Paint through a dry wall mesh piece for the bg and added some Poppy Parade spatter as well.

Stamps: alphabet stamps Paper: Black, White, Garden Green, Poppy Parade Ink: Poppy Parade, Versafine Onyx Accessories: Memory Box-Prim Poppy die, Dry Wall Mesh, Distress Paint-Broken China, Paintbrush Techniques: Stenciling, Paper Tole, Spatter                                      Read more:  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/2522312#ixzz32pqXfjdG
I'm also linking this to the Less is More challenge to use a diecut.
